Bristol Herald Courier Threatens "$200,000" lawsuit against blogger

J. Todd Foster, editor at the Bristol Herald Courier, has sent a "threat email" to a blogger in Virginia.

Apparently not a First Amendment scholar, Mr. Foster starts off his "threat" by claiming that a particular post by said blogger is "factually incorrect in a number of areas and, thus, is defamatory". Sorry to disappoint Mr. Foster but his understanding of defamation law is a bit flawed.

You have to wonder what kind of newspaperman Mr. Foster is when he resorts to legal threats out of the box.
